Invoicing software that is genuinely Swiss
Plenty of packages call themselves Swiss. Here is what the word covers at Bilto, point by point, so you can check it.
- Servers in Switzerland
- QR-bill to standard
- Four languages
Your data stays in Switzerland
Your clients, your prices and your margins are hosted with Infomaniak, in its own data centres in Geneva and Winterthur. Infomaniak is a Swiss company with no foreign parent, ISO 27001 certified since 2018: no jurisdiction outside Switzerland can demand your data. This is not an upper-plan option, it is the floor, for everyone.
The AI stays in Switzerland too
The model that writes your quote runs on Infomaniak's infrastructure, in Switzerland. Your description of the job, your prices and your client's name do not travel to the other side of the world to be processed. Most packages offering AI send that information to a model hosted outside Switzerland: that is the line Bilto does not cross.
The QR-bill, to the standard in force
Every invoice comes out with its QR payment part to the Swiss Payment Standards, carrying your QR-IBAN or your reference, and structured addresses, the format banks will require from 1 October 2026. Software still on the free-text format will see its invoices rejected.
Four languages, right into the document
French, German, Italian, English: not just the screen, but the quote and the invoice your client receives. You work in one language while a document goes out in another. In a country where thirty kilometres take you across a language border, that gets noticed.

Swiss VAT, without workarounds
The three Swiss rates are built in and the calculation runs line by line. If you are not VAT-registered, one setting switches your documents to VAT-free with nothing to correct by hand.
Designed and built here
Bilto is designed and built in Switzerland by Emerge Studio. It is not a foreign product with a translation and a rented server: the decisions are taken in the same market as yours.
Swiss law, not just the server
Hosting in Switzerland is not enough if the contract falls under another jurisdiction. Your data is subject to Swiss law and to the Federal Act on Data Protection, in force since September 2023. In a dispute, Swiss courts decide.
Your data belongs to you
Quotes, invoices, clients, price catalogue: all of it is exportable whenever you want, in open formats, without writing to us for permission. Software that keeps your invoices but will not hand them back makes you a tenant of your own accounts.
What it changes day to day
The comparison is with a category, not a brand: software designed elsewhere and translated afterwards, against software meant for this market.
